Connected Finance, Inventory & Collaboration for Global Marines

Running a business smoothly takes more than accurate numbers. Finance needs reliable records, operations needs to know what is in stock, and teams need dependable ways to communicate. Global Marines wanted to make all of this easier to manage, so The Candid Solutions delivered two connected engagements: Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory for finance and stock control, and a Gmail-to-Zoho Mail migration with Zoho Workplace for collaboration.

Global Marines needed more than separate software installations. Finance, operations, and everyday communication all had to work together, and staff needed a transition they could manage without disrupting the business.

The Challenges

The goal was for people to spend less time navigating separate processes and more time working with reliable information.

  • Bringing transactions and invoices and purchase orders and reporting into one configured finance system
  • Setting approval steps for invoices and expenses and purchase orders
  • Supporting tax settings and multi-currency purchases and bank reconciliation
  • Managing items and SKUs and pricing and stock movements and adjustments
  • Moving Gmail accounts and historical email without disrupting communication
  • Giving teams shared tools for documents and internal messages with training to drive adoption

The Solution

Two complementary projects, each with a clear purpose, designed around workflows employees could understand and maintain. Zoho Books was configured for invoicing, purchasing, tax rates, approvals, multi-currency transactions, bank reconciliation, and reporting. Zoho Inventory supported item and SKU records, pricing, stock tracking, and adjustments for returned or damaged stock, along with sales and purchase order workflows.

For email, we handled domain verification, MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC setup, and user creation, then transferred Gmail history through IMAP with folder and label mapping, followed by send and receive testing. Zoho WorkDrive and Cliq gave the team shared document storage and internal messaging, with access management and administrator guidance. Finance, operations, and administrators were trained and supported through go-live.

The Results

Across two connected engagements, Global Marines now has a configured Zoho environment covering finance, inventory, email, and team collaboration. Rather than relying on disconnected setups, the team has a clearer structure for everyday work and a foundation it can build on as the business grows.
