We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to manage the purchasing activities within our oil and gas operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the oil and gas industry, a strong background in procurement processes, and the ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers. This role will involve ensuring that all materials and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies to procure materials, equipment, and services needed for oil and gas operations.
Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions.
Prepare, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Work closely with inventory and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and proper storage of materials.
Monitor and analyze procurement spending to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, ensuring continuity of supply and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and the availability of materials and services.
Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
Generate reports on procurement activities, cost savings, supplier performance, and market conditions for management review.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience in the Oil and Gas Procurement needs.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Proficiency in procurement and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of oil and gas industry regulations and standards.
Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) are preferred.
